Using double check valve is another way of preventing the backflow of water. These are valves having two ports that one is for inflow and other is for outflow of the water. These are automatic mechanical devices that do not require any type of external or internal handles. Double check valves are supposed to operate at a certain pressure in other words these can withstand maximum pressure as specified. Till this pressure these valves are effective to work and above that these cannot withstand.
